Policing priorities in your area

 

Priority 1 - Youth Disorder (Falkland, Ladybank & Kingskettle)

Progress update:

 

  • Patrols carried out on the evening of 19 & 20 February, particular attention was paid to High Street, Falkland, wooded area adjacent to Ladybank railway line,  Haughfield Terrace and Primary School areas of Kingskettle.  No evidence of youth disorder at time of the patrols.

  • Visits made to the village pub and both off-sales premises, advice was given to staff.

  • High visibilty patrols continued within hotspot areas over 5,6 & 7 March.

  • On the evenings of 20/21 March 2010, foot patrols were carried out in the villages of Ladybank, Kingskettle and Falkland.  No evidence of youth disorder.

  • On evening of 30 April and 1 May, foot patrols were carried out in Ladybank & Falkland.  No evidence of youth disorder. 

  • On evening of 14 May, large group of youths dispersed from within Ladybank Woods.  One anti-social behaviour fixed penalty ticket was issued.

 

 

Priority 2 - Dog fouling (Hill Street, Ladybank & cricket ground, Freuchie)

Progress update:

 

  • Contact has been made with the Dog Wardens, informing them of the issues.

  • Community Officers will distributed letters to residents of areas of concern.

  • Foot patrols have taken place in Ladybank and Freuchie.  Evidence of dog fouling but no dog owners found responsible.

  • Foot patrol carried out on 3 March in the Hill Street, Ladybank, area carried out.  Advice given to dog walkers and letters issued.

  • Foot patrols on 17 and 18 March in the villages of Ladybank and Freuchie, no dog fouling offences were apparent.

 

 

Priority 3 - Speeding (A912 through Falkland, Monstown, Ladybank & A914 Kettlebridge & Balmalcolm)

Progress update:

 

  • Fife Safety Camera Partnership have been contacted and advised of the problems on A914.
  • Speed checks carried out on A914 Falkland.  One fixed penalty issued in regards to speeding.

  • Contact made with a local company and advised its Transport Manager to make their drivers aware of the ongoing concerns, particularly of HGV vehicles passing through Balmalcolm.

  • On 11 May Speedar checks were carried out on A914 Cupar Road, Kettlebridge and Monsktown, Ladybank, no offences were detected.
