I joined Fife Constabulary in 2004 and throughout my 5 years
police service I have been stationed at various stations in
northeast Fife including Cupar, St Andrews and the East Neuk. I
continue to be stationed at the East Neuk section building on my
knowledge and experience of the area and have community
responsibilities for the 'Ward 20' which encompasses Largoward,
Carnbee, Arncroach, Boarhills, Dunino, Kingsbarns and the Crail
district.
I am a diversity liaison officer offering advice and assistance
to colleges and the public alike, promoting values and principles
of fairness, equality, integrity and treating people according to
their needs.
Policing priorities in your area
Priority 1 - Speeding vehicles in Largoward, Dunino,
Kingsbarns & Crail
Progress update:
- Speedar checks have been carried out at
various areas throughout the district at temporary 20 mph school
areas, 5 Fixed Penalty Tickets and 2 warnings have been
issued for excessive speed.
- Community officers have contacted wth
Fife Camera Partnership and Road Policing Department with a view to
deployment in problem areas.
- Officers continue to carry out high
visibility patrols in the area to deter speeding
offences.
- Contact made with local Traffic Warden
advising them of surveys required for identified areas.

Update 28 April - Speedar checks have been
carried out at various areas throughout the district at temporary
20 mph school areas, 3 Fixed Penalty Tickets and 2 warnings have
been issued for excessive speed.

Officers continue to carry out high visibility
patrols in the area to deter speeding offences. Contact has been
made with local traffic warden advising them of surveys required
for identified areas.

Update 25 June - Speedar checks have been
carried out at various areas throughout the district at temporary
20 mph school areas, 2 Fixed Penalty Tickets and 2 warnings have
been issued for excessive speed.

On 28 June a Speedar check was carried out on
High Street, Crail – 3 warnings were issued.

On 28 June officers carried out high
visibility foot patrols in the Largoward and Kingsbarns areas – no
offences detected at this time.
Priority 2 - Fly tipping & littering – Particularly
in Kilminning & Crail Primary School
Progress update:
- Contact has been made with
Environmental Services for the East Neuk area and concerns raised
and discussed plans to patrol area, will continue to liaise and
work in partnership in an attempt to trace those fly tipping and
littering.
- Officers carried out regular foot
patrols throughout the district and visited commercial premises in
an attempt to raise awareness of the priority in the
area.
- 6 additional penalty notices have been
erected in the Crail area to date.
- On 30 June officers contacted the
Environmental Warden and made them aware of concerns, arrangement
has been made for joint patrols to be carried out in the Kilminning
picnic area.
- On 30 June contact was made with the
dog warden and arrangements have been made to carry out joint
patrols in the Beach Walk Park area of Crail.
Priority 3 - Dog fouling
Progress update:
- Contacted Environmental Services
requesting additional bins and penalty notices erected in local
parks in the district.
- Contact has been made with the Dog
Warden to raise concerns and discussed plans to patrol
area, will continue to liaise and work in partnership in an attempt
to trace irresponsible dog owners.
- Distributed letters to dog owners
seeking information and raising awareness that offenders are
actively being pursued.
- Officers carried out regular foot
patrols throughout the district and visited commercial premises in
an attempt to raise awareness of the priority in the
area.
