I am 35 years of age and have completed 5 years police service
joining Fife Constabulary in 2004. I was stationed at St Andrews
until August 2009 where I joined the local divisional Crime Team
based at Cupar.

Priority 1 - Speeding vehicles through Springfield
village
Progress update:
- Speedar checks carried out 19 February,
1 driver warned.
- Camera Enforcement Unit have been
contacted.

Traffic wardens carried out Speedar checks on
23 & 26 February, 2010, no offences detected.

Speedar deployment carried out on 10 March, 2
drivers warned.

Speedar deployment carried out on 29 March,
3drivers warned.

Officer has spoken with local residents
regarding the speeding issues, they have identified times when the
problem is at its worst.

Stickers obtained from the Road Safety
Department and PC Davidson delivered two 20mph stickers to 50
houses between Main Street and Station Road. The stickers
were accompanied by a letter explaining the initiative and
outlining the work that has already been carried out by Fife
Constabulary and Fife Council Transportation to tackle this issue.

Enquiries continue to be carried out with
local farmers in reference to tractors speeding through the
village.
Priority 2 - High visibility patrols requested within
both villages on Friday and Saturday evenings

PC Michie and PC Hay carried out foot patrols
within Springfield and Pitlessie. No persons seen.

Update 21 June - PC Michie carried out foot
patrols in both villages during the early evening - no offences
detected.
Priority 3 - Speeding vehicles through Pitlessie
village
Progress update:
- Speedar checks carried out on 12 February, 11 drivers
were warned.
- Camera Enforcement Unit have been contacted.
- Request has been made to Traffic Wardens for
assistance.

Speedar deployment carried out on 29
March with a negative result.

Speedar deployment carried out on 31
March with a negative result.

Road policing informed of issue.

Speedar deployed on 26 May, no persons traced
for speeding.
