Disused quarries - Police issued warning

FIFE CONSTABULARY has issued a reminder of the dangers of disused quarries following an incident at the weekend which left a 16year old boy in a critical condition following a fall at the disused Goat Quarry near Aberdour on Friday 23rd July.

Dalgety Bay Inspector Gordon Mitchell said: "I would appeal to everyone, particularly the parents and guardians of young people to be aware of the dangers associated with disused quarries. Unfortunately it is an issue during the summer months and I hope this warning can help prevent any other injuries."
