Woman assaulted - Blairadam Forest, Kelty
Police in Fife are appealing for witnesses following an
incident, which occurred within Blairadam Forest, Kelty on Friday
23rd July 2010.
About 7.25pm a 21 year old woman was assaulted and verbally abused
by an untraced male who was in the company of a woman. This
incident appeared to have been triggered following a disagreement
over a dog being walked within the wooded area.
Police are reassuring the public that this is an isolated incident
and is unusual in nature. There are currently no similar incidents
being investigated in the area and Police are keen to track down
those responsible.
Local Kelty Community Officer Police Constable Gary Chrystal
said:"This appears to be an unusual, one off incident which has
occurred within the Forest. I am appealing to any persons who may
have been in the area of the Forest around this time and may have
information that would assist our enquiries to contact Fife Police
on 0845 600 5702 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Even the
smallest piece of information can be vitally important in assisting
us solving this crime. Please be assured that Fife Constabulary is
working hard to ensure that the persons responsible for this
incident are traced.”
PC Chrystal added " Fife Constabulary provide personal attack
alarms which are available at all major Police Stations within
Fife. This money goes back into the Community through community
based projects."
