Break in at Cowdenbeath supermarket - cigarettes stolen
Cowdenbeath Police officers are investigating the large scale
theft of cigarettes from Morrison’s Supermarket situated at the
Raith Centre in Cowdenbeath yesterday.
Police officers were called to the premises about 11pm last
night and found that the thieves had made off with a large quantity
of cigarettes thought to be valued at over £4000 whilst the
premises were closed for the night.
Chief Inspector Ross Bennet said: "We're using all available
means open to us to trace those responsible, treating this as a
major enquiry whilst liaising with retail premises in the area. We
are keen to here from anybody who may have seen any suspicious
activity in the area of the supermarket about 11pm on Thursday
night. Indeed I would ask the public to report any suspicious
activity us at any time of the day or night, we will
respond.
