Fife Constabulary have now traced a local 27-year-old man for an incident that occurred within Blairadam Forest on Friday 23rd July 2010, in response to a public appeal through local media outlets for witnesses or further information in respect of the complaint that had been made to them.

Cowdenbeath Area Chief Inspector Ross Bennet commented: "This is clearly an excellent piece of work in detecting this incident, however I must stress, that our partners in the local media have helped us tremendously in response to this enquiry.

"I will reiterate that my officers will vigorously investigate all matters reported to them and take all reasonable steps to gather the evidence required to provide positive outcomes to those incidents we are dealing with.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank the local media for their assistance in this matter and also to ask that any member of the public who has information in respect of any incident contact Fife Constabulary on 08451 600 5702 or through CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111, where all information will be dealt with in confidence."
